The Five Dysfunctions of a
Team: A Leadership Fable
The reason I like this book is
because every company I work with always questions why teams
reach plateau's and all of a sudden start failing to work as
a unit. The answer is human behavior. Sometimes
human behavior can destroy a team. This book brings
the five dysfunctions out into the light, and shows you how
to regain control, get back on track and have fun again.
The team evaluation included in the book is an excellent
tool.

Whale
Done! : The Power of Positive Relationships
Like the rest of Ken
Blanchard's books,
this is an excellent book and should be in every managers
library. His approach to managing people is a little
different in this book. Ken shows in a very humorous
way, how the techniques used to train and motivate killer
whales, can be used successfully in managing people. Building
relationships, accentuating the positive and redirecting the
negative. Quick read and you can use these techniques in
every aspect of your life.

Review on Negotiation and
Conflict Resolution (A Harvard Business Review Paperback)
This is a great edition to the Harvard
Business Review collection.
It covers negotiation in collaborative
work, teams, performance, customer relations, agreements
etc. There is a very informative chapter
on the cost of conflict and how to resolve it. Sometimes
we create conflict when we negotiate. Negotiation
is not when I win, or you win. It is when we both win.
